Bunk Bed Safety
At This End Up Furniture Company the safety of your family is our highest priority. Our bunk beds are thoughtfully designed and constructed to meet or exceed applicable federal safety standards, including those set forth by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). Please carefully review the following safety information before purchasing or using a bunk bed in your home.
General Safety Guidelines
• Age Recommendation: The top bunk is not recommended for children under the age of 6.
• Weight Limits: Each bunk is designed to support up to 250 pounds. Do not exceed this limit.
• Guardrails: Always use guardrails on both sides of the upper bunk. Gaps between the bed frame and the mattress should not exceed 3-1/2 inches.
• Ladder Use: Use the ladder only as intended. Do not allow children to climb or play on the ladder or upper bunk.
• Mattress Size & Thickness: Use only the recommended mattress size for the upper bunk. The mattress must not exceed 7 inches in thickness to ensure adequate safety rail height.
• Ceiling Clearance: Ensure at least 30 inches of clearance between the top mattress and ceiling to prevent injury.
• No Rough Play: Bunk beds are not designed for jumping or horseplay. Encourage safe, responsible use at all times.

• Always follow assembly instructions carefully. Improper installation may result in serious injury.
• Periodically check and tighten hardware to ensure stability and safety.
• Replace worn or missing parts immediately using only manufacturer-approved components.
• Do not modify the bed frame or ladder in any way.
